Howl-O-Scream 2022

We drove down to the park that morning, so we got there a bit after it opened. We parked in the Scotland parking lot, which is across the highway, and didn't seem like it was used much. We got on the tram to the front of the park and headed straight towards Pantheon in Festa Italia. After riding Pantheon, we headed over to Oktoberfest to ride Verbolten. My whole family rode it the first time, then the next time just my brother and I rode it. We got some (AMAZING) pretzels. We then went over to Germany and rode Alpengeist, and its queue was filled not too long after we got in line. After Alpengeist, we went to Scotland to ride the classic Loch Ness Monster. After that, we went to New France, and we didn't ride InvadR that day because the line was extremely long. We then went over to (old?) France, and rode Griffon, which is a fun and smooth dive machine. Then, we went back to Oktoberfest, to Das Festhaus, as it was one of the only restaurants that was open. The line to get food was going outside the building to the (at the time, soon-to-be) DarKoaster/Darkoaster building. After we ate, the park started to get spooky. The haunted houses were opening up, and there was fog and scare actors around. The first haunted house we did was Witch of the Woods, which went into the woods near the former Drachen Fire plot. Next, we went to Nevermore: Chapter 2, which was another haunted house nearby, in the Drachen Fire station building. We then went to Death Water Bayou, which is behind Roman Rapids in Festa Italia. It had many small buildings and was quite cool, and quite disorienting. Since we were near, we went on a night ride on Apollo's Chariot, which was amazing, because for most of the ride, I could not see a thing. After that, we visited Killarney Diner, which was probably my favorite. It was a bloody diner with undead workers, in the building where Battle for Eire (and many other rides) used to be. Lastly, we did Inferno, which was under Escape from Pompeii. Overall, it was a great time, with fun rides, and spooky haunted houses.
